When I was younger I got to go on a family trip to South Padre Island in Texas. For some reason I can remember a lot about it which is very cool. But the trip was in July and we drove all the way to stay with my aunt and uncle and their two kids at the time. I was so excited because I had always wanted to go and visit them for a long time. The trip was very long and tiring but when we go to Texas there were so many cars, people, and humongous buildings. I remember this one building that was a kind of sky blue color and so tall. One night we ended up staying in a hotel and my cousin katie got to feed the seagulls and I remember her screaming and jumping around because one of them had pooped on her. It was one of the funniest things I ever seen and I was so glad that it wasn't me.
We spent one of the days getting toured around and we had gotten to eat at a restaurant and see my family's house. One our way to go and say hi to my aunt at work I remember it started to pour down rain so hard that no one on the road could see out of their windows. that was the hardest rain I had ever seen! Later on to get closer to the beach for the next day we all stayed in a hotel that had pools and hot tubs and I thought it was awesome because there was an under water bar. We stayed by the pool until the parents made us get out. I slept like a baby that night.
The next morning was the morning that we got to go to the beach and it would be the first time for me so I was so hyper and excited. We packed up a ton of food and drinks for the day and we were about an hour away from the beach so it was a bit of a long drive for me but when we got there I jumped out of the car and ran towards the sand. The sand was so moist and warm between my toes. I was a little nervous to go into the water because of sharks so I didn't go out too deep at first but in some parts of the water you could go far out and it would get deep than shallow it was so awesome. I sat close to the shore and barry my legs in the sand and let the tide come in and clean all the sand off. Me and my cousins would barry each other into the sand and I made my first sandcastle on a real beach. I was pretty proud of it.
One last thing that I can remember from the trip was that we spent the actual fourth of July at my aunt and uncles house and we shot of a whole bunch of firework in the neighborhood. Some day it would be fun to go back to Texas and visit. My family doesn't live there anymore but it was a really fun trip that I will never forget.

I have never been to Padre Island. I know a lot of my friends would go there on spring break and my parents would never allow me to go because they always said we are paying for your education not paying for you to go party. But you make it sound so beautiful now that I am older I would love to visit there. Not during spring break.
