Know Your Audience Blog Post

When the class did our Know Your Audience discussions I was excited to read what everyone had to say about my if you had a million dollars what would you do with is question. I was really excited to read the  responses because from all of our past discussions and responses I saw that everyone had quit a bit to say about all kinds of things. No one was afraid to speak their minds which I thought was really great. The more discussions that go on the more I am seeing that everyone has more and more to say each time, as do I.
I went in to look at what kinds of responses that I had gotten and I was very surprised to see all of the similar yet different replies because they were some what close to what I would have said myself which was great! I read a lot of things that were fun and touching and I have come to the conclusion  that the audience this semester are a lot alike and we have really closely related thoughts. What I really like about what I had read was that everyone was willing to give a big sum of money up to either help someone in their family or put it to charity. It is really nice to see a whole bunch of kindhearted people.
Knowing what I know about the audience and seeing that we are alike in ways and that they have lots to say about topics and want to interact with each other will impact my writing differently by maybe opening up a little more with my writing and putting down in words what I am thinking instead of second guessing myself and wondering if I say this, what will the audience think.( But like Ms. A said " be careful not to invade your own privacy.")

7 Days

If I didn't get to see anyone for seven days because there was no one left and I could do any five major things in that seven days to entertain myself, the five things I would choose would be:
  1. I would visit some amusement parks and stay there all day long and ride rides over and over until I got sick. I would eat and drink a whole bunch of food and drinks until i couldn't eat anymore. But your probably thinking well how could I operate all of the rides and make all of the food? Well I am just pretending here that all the rides could operate themselves and all the food would be cooking by itself. I would do the parks for a couple days and those nights I would stay in hotels near by and swim in the pools.
2. I would make a trip to the I Max theaters and watch a lot of really good movies and eat pop corn and candy. I chose this as one of the five things because I have only been to the I Max once and it was on a school field trip and it was a very educational movie about Lewis and Clarke. But when I was there watching it felt like I was actually in the movie and one of the characters.
3.I would take an awesome car out of one the car lots and drive to a couple states I have never been to and go to all the malls and shop until I dropped. I have never gotten an opportunity to just shop and pick out whatever I wanted in a large amount before and if I had seven days to do it, that would be the perfect time to.
4. I would pick out a jet ski and go to my lake and ride around where ever I wanted for hours and after that I would stay in one of the really big and very nice log cabins for the night and  roast marsh mellows. But riding jet skies wouldn't be all I would do that day I would ride around on four wheelers in the mud.
5. Lastly I would take a horse back riding trip and go on long trail rides and enjoy the outdoors. This would be my favorite thing to do because for one I haven't gotten to ride horses in a long time. I use to have a horse but when I moved into a different house he had to be given to another owner. Even though I haven't gotten to ride them for a while, when I get to that would top all of the four things I listed above.

3 WISHES!

If one day I was granted 3 wishes. I would have a lot of things running through my head at once and I wouldn't know what to say first. But after taking a few minutes to figure out how I would ask for things correctly and maybe a little sneaky. What I would come up with is this:
Wish number one- I would wish to have one billion dollars so that I could spent money on all kinds of neat things that I wanted.
Wish number two- I would wish to live a happy and comfortable life with my family that I will have some day.
Wish number three- I would wish that I could  have an unlimited amount of wishes, so that I could keep on wishing and wishing until I couldn't think of anything more to wish for!
With all those unlimited wishes there are so many things that I would want or need and I could then wish for anything that I wanted. The kinds of things that I would get are probably very similar to a lot of other people. Some of the other things are that I would want my wedding to be perfect and unique to me and my fiance in a couple years. I would also want in a couple years to be a successful RN to be able to help support my future family. I would wish for my children to grow up and live their lives the way that they feel best for them.
For the wants wishes, I would have:
1. Two jet skies for me and my fiance.
2. A beautifully built house over looking the lake.
3. My Mercedes that I have always wanted.
4.Travel all over the world to try new foods.
5. I would have hundreds of acres of land to put my horses on.
6. Have a humongous pool in the back yard with a diving board and slide.
7. I couldn't forget the hot tub also.
I am a material kind of person, but who wouldn't be if they had three wishes?!?!

"Freewrite"

I believe I will have children some day. This will be an amazing time in my life to be called mommy. I will love to watch my children grow up. My favorite times that I will have with them are on holidays. I will spoil them like crazy but they will know how to work hard at things they want in life. I will like to watch them play out on the play ground while me and my husband talk about the great times that we have had. I will be so happy when I get to see them graduate from school but will be sad at the same time. A kind of bitter sweet. The days that I am looking forward to are when me and my husband grow old together and sit outside on the porch as in love as when we met. and having a big huge garden in the back yard filled with all kinds of fruits and vegetables. When our children grown up we will be called grandma and grandpa and like our kids get to spoil them as well.

Typology Reflection

I took the Jung Typology test and I found out a lot of neat things that I agreed with about my self when it comes to writing, but I also read a few things that were disagreeable. When it comes to learning style, the Jung test said that I like material to be planned and organized, I require encouragement, and prefer to study with others. All of these things were on the dot. The only difference was that I have to write ideas on paper before I go right into talking with people. I focus better with organization and having my own thoughts first.
Finally when I got to my writing style the Typology test said that I like to personalize my writing and that I may have trouble with impersonal issues. Also, I had read that my type of learner benefits from revising work. and last it was agreeable that I complete work on time. I really liked the contrasts that I had to the test. Those were that: when I am in a group, I am actually not good at taking the lead. This is because I feel intimidated by others. Writing for me is hard work and unlike what the test said I do not get motivated at all to write and last I am a frequent procrastinator.
After reading and finding out things I did and didn't know about myself I am learning that I have a lot of good qualities to becoming a good writer, but I have a lot more work when it comes to becoming a confident writer and becoming more interactive within groups of people. I think that the test will assist me with my writing because I had a lot of good comparisons with the Typology test and what I had thought of myself when it came to writing. I also had gotten new information that I really didn't think about myself, but was like hey I actually do these things! Now I can work on the negatives that I had about writing and apply it later on.
