Final Blog entry

Through all of my blogging this summer I have learned some new things, and my typing has improved a whole lot because of this. The things that I liked about this blogging was that you could set your backgrounds to different kinds of pictures and designs and also I liked that you could put pictures up and pretty much do whatever you wanted to your blog. The things that I didn't like about the blogging was that it felt time consuming and since I had to do it for class I didn't like to do blogs every week because I felt that I was being made to do it. Also I am not that good with computers so I didn't much like this part of class. Ways that I have changed as a writer through doing this was that I think I became a better writer and my speed increased by a lot.
I am sitting in my house right now just getting off of work and having to type and I am really tired and all I wanna do it sleep. These are the days I really don't like to blog. My mind feels empty and without any thought about what to write. I have had some hard times trying to blog especially when my computer decided to stop working so now I am having to use the library and other peoples computers to get all of my homework done and it has really made a difference on all of my assignments and mostly my blogs. This blogging has made me more social about things in life and I for my final coming up I hope that all of this typing and work has  payed off. I really think it has because my grades are really good.

Over all my summer has been okay I am glad that this semester is almost over! I want a little sleep now. I have worked almost every weekend but I have had some good days of hanging out by the pool and watching some movies. I can't really sleep so I thought this would be a good opportunity to write. I can't wait until tomorrow I am going to wake up early and pack my bag to go and see my fiance and he is going to take me out to eat and then we are going to go across the ferry which will be my first time. We are going to a scuba diving store to see how much it would be to get me into classes and he wants to buy some more gear. For as long as I have been visiting protem I havn't been across the ferry. that's kind of sad. I guess there is a first time for everything. When we are done looking at all of the scuba stuff I am really wanting to go swimming down by the lake before I have to go to work.
I am still counting down the days until my south carolina trip!  I need a good break from it all:) I didn't get to go on my georgia trip this summer because it was the time of classes and I was really bummed out.

In the past year I have gotten some certificates and there are more things that I want to do really soon. I just recently got my boating license and I finally came in the mail today. I am so excited because now I am able to rent a jet ski or a boat if I wanted to which will come in handy some next summer. Also I got my hunting license which I had been wanting for a long time and I now I can actually use and gun and stuff instead to sit and watch. I need to get some more practice with guns but I really like to use a bow when I hunt. It seems a little easier that way. My main accomplishment was getting my nurse assistant certificate and I will be getting to work In one of the facilities very soon.
I am hoping that in the future I will get my scuba license. Me and my fiance have been looking at getting me in classes and getting some gear for me so he and I can start going together. I got to go out in his gear to see if I would even like it and I had fun. He put me in a few feet of water and I got to swim around a little bit. I think it will be a cool hobby to have especially since he lives just a couple miles from the lake. He just got to go diving this past weekend and I couldn't go. I felt a little bummed out but soon I will get my certification.
I am also going to work on getting my EMT when we get married because I will be living in town with him and he is already on the fire department and he is wanting to wait for me and we can take the classes together. The cool part is that the classes are going to be free and I will have some more medical under my belt. When he gets calls on the fire department and he is with me the chief lets me tag along and it is such an adrenalin rush and exciting to see him at work.
I don't know what else I would like to get done but I want to be able to do all kinds of things that require some kind of training. I am sure it will take me a while but it will all be worth it! The one that I want to badly is the scuba license I will be going out in the water all of the time.

last summer

Last summer I remember doing some fun things like one warm day my boyfriend at the time and me took the canoe out and we went out on the water for hours going around the bends and having so much fun we had rowed and rowed and took a couple breaks to jump into the water and cool off from the heat which got hotter and hotter as the hours progressed. I didn't know how we were going to make it back because we had gone so far and we were going with the wind so on the way back we were going to have to go against the wind. We turned around once we felt we got far enough and started back the other way and as I looked I could barely see the bridge that we started at and my arms were about to give up on me. I had taken a ton of breaks and I felt pretty bad that I didn't do much work on the way back but he said it was okay. In the morning I was more sore than I had ever been in my life. I obviously don't work out ever! When I asked my boyfriend how he felt he was all fine. He was at an advantage though because he is always outside and lifting heavy things for work. I was so embarrassed that I was sore the next morning and he wasn't. But we had taken the canoe out  several times last summer and I finally got to the point where I wasn't sore and tired at the end of it all. He took me on the lake which was harder that the river but one day we spent the day on a canoeing trip and it was a whole lot of fun. It was so beautiful outside and I saw some of the most pretty houses by the lake. There was even this one logged house and it look like a mansion and leading to the back of the house was a walk way to the lake which had chairs, fire pit, and one of those bed looking things in the tree.( I lost my train of thought). I'm hoping to go again this summer but it has been so busy we haven't made any plans for it yet.

summer classes

I chose to take three summer classes this summer and I didn't realize how hard this was going to be. It wasn't so bad at first but now I am finding myself doing something for one of the classes if not all of them. I am doing good in the classes but I am working my butt off to get it all done. From taking an online class I have learned more about computers and I have become a bit more of a better writer and I have become a little more faster than I was. Summer classes have gotten me up and around instead of just sitting around all the time and I am constantly using my brain. I haven't become so bored this summer because now I do have a lot on my plate to do.
If I have any recommendations for taking summer classes I would have to say that you need to make sure you don't work constantly especially if you have three classes. I think it is too much of a work load because everything is crammed into just eight weeks. I wouldn't even recommend taking three classes at all unless you don't want to do anything fun! My experience has been very stressful and I am glad that week eight is around the corner. I shouldn't have to take anymore online courses because this was going to be my get ahead summer and it was a lot harder than I thought. I think I would have done better if I had only taken 2 but A's are good enough for me.

Dream Job

In two years I have a plan to accomplish a lot of things and these things include: I am going to be finished with all of my schooling and prerequisites for the nursing program and also should have completed the nursing program. Right now this is my main goal to accomplish. I have wanted to be a nurse for a really long time but before that I wanted to be a vet but in high school I ended up getting my certified nurses assistant certificate so I thought I would just continue with the whole nursing thing so I wouldn't have to back track. I don't regret one bit of my decision. One day I want to be able to really help someone and make their lives easier. This is rewarding to me and I'm sure for anyone in the medical field.
I haven't decided if I am going to stop there though because I think I might really enjoy Anesthesia and I would really like to go to more schooling to become a registered nurse anesthetist. But for now I have to further my education in nursing and when I decide to I can start the anesthesia program. The medical route is definitely the way to go because there are very good benefits and the money is really good. There is always going to be a job in the hospitals and I want to be looked at as being that person who loves to help other people.

South Padre Island

When I was younger I got to go on a family trip to South Padre Island in Texas. For some reason I can remember a lot about it which is very cool. But the trip was in July and we drove all the way to stay with my aunt and uncle and their two kids at the time. I was so excited because I had always wanted to go and visit them for a long time. The trip was very long and tiring but when we go to Texas there were so many cars, people, and humongous buildings. I remember this one building that was a kind of sky blue color and so tall. One night we ended up staying in a hotel and my cousin katie got to feed the seagulls and I remember her screaming and jumping around because one of them had pooped on her. It was one of the funniest things I ever seen and I was so glad that it wasn't me.
We spent one of the days getting toured around and we had gotten to eat at a restaurant and see my family's house. One our way to go and say hi to my aunt at work I remember it started to pour down rain so hard that no one on the road could see out of their windows. that was the hardest rain I had ever seen! Later on to get closer to the beach for the next day we all stayed in a hotel that had pools and hot tubs and I thought it was awesome because there was an under water bar. We stayed by the pool until the parents made us get out. I slept like a baby that night.
The next morning was the morning that we got to go to the beach and it would be the first time for me so I was so hyper and excited. We packed up a ton of food and drinks for the day and we were about an hour away from the beach so it was a bit of a long drive for me but when we got there I jumped out of the car and ran towards the sand. The sand was so moist and warm between my toes. I was a little nervous to go into the water because of sharks so I didn't go out too deep at first but in some parts of the water you could go far out and it would get deep than shallow it was so awesome. I sat close to the shore and barry my legs in the sand and let the tide come in and clean all the sand off. Me and my cousins would barry each other into the sand and I made my first sandcastle on a real beach. I was pretty proud of it.
One last thing that I can remember from the trip was that we spent the actual fourth of July at my aunt and uncles house and we shot of a whole bunch of firework in the neighborhood. Some day it would be fun to go back to Texas and visit. My family doesn't live there anymore but it was a really fun trip that I will never forget.
